Compilation of Presidential Documents now online
As of the new administration, the official "Compilation of Presidential Documents" will be published daily online. This replaces a weekly printed version that has been published since 1965.
The compilation includes:
- proclamations
- executive orders
- speeches
- press conferences
- communications to Congress and Federal agencies
- statements regarding bill signings and vetoes
- appointments, nominations
- reorganization plans
- resignations
- retirements
- acts approved by the President
- nominations submitted to the Senate
- White House announcements
- press releases
This was announced two days ago in the Federal Register (PDF).
The compilation has its own Web address, http://www.presidentialdocuments.gov, and goes back to 1993.
As of this writing the only document from the Obama administration is his inaugural address.
